Born in 1939, Abdulmohsin Muzaffar starts this interview with his childhood in Sharq. He talks about his earliest memories in the house he grew up in, the strong bond with their neighbors, and his relationship with his family. He spends some time telling us about his early education with almutawa’a and at Alnajah School, as well as Alsidiq School in the fifties. Muzaffar Also remembers his time as a boy scout and recalls precious childhood memories. Moving into his teenage years and early adulthood, Muzaffar speaks about going to Alshuwaikh Highschool. Shortly after, he quits high school to work to provide for his family. Muzaffar starts working at the British Bank and later at the Post Office. During his employment, he explains that he finished high school and was awarded a scholarship to study in Egypt. After coming back from Egypt, Muzaffar describes the different jobs he occupied and settling with his family in Kuwait. He spends a large portion of the interview talking about the invasion, the atrocities they witnessed, and their journey of leaving Kuwait during the occupation. From the 1990s onwards, he focuses on narrating his political engagement, his work with human rights, working with Aljabriya coop, among other responsibilities.
عبدالمحسن مظفر، المولود في العام ١٩٣٩، يبدأ حديثه في هذه المقابلة حول طفولته في منطقة شرق. يتحدث مظفر عن أولى ذكرياته في المنزل الذي نشأ فيه، والعلاقات الوطيدة التي شهدها بين أسرته وجيرانهم، وعلاقته بأسرته. يقضي مظفر بعض الوقت في إخبارنا عن تعليمه المبكر لدى المطوعة وفي مدرسة النجاح، وكذلك في مدرسة الصديق في الخمسينات. يتذكر مظفر أيضا التحاقه بفريق الكشافة، كما يستدعي ذكريات طفولته العزيزة. انتقالا إلى سنوات مراهقته ومرحلة الرشد المبكرة، يتحدث مظفر عن التحاقه بثانوية الشويخ. بعد ذلك، يترك مظفر الثانوية ويلتحق بالعمل من أجل توفير لقمة العيش لأسرته. يبدأ مظفر العمل في البنك البريطاني، ولاحقا في البريد. خلال عمله، يشرح مظفر كيف أنهى تعليمه الثانوي وحصوله على بعثة دراسية للدراسة في مصر. بعد عودته من مصر، يصف مظفر الوظائف العديدة التي شغلها واسقراره مع أسرته في الكويت. يمضي مظفر جزءا كبيرا من المقابلة في الحديث عن الغزو العراقي للكويت، والفظائع التي شهدوها، ورحلة خروجهم من الكويت خلال الاحتلال. من التسعينات فصاعدا، يركز مظفر على سرد تفاصيل انخراطه في العمل السياسي، وعمله في مجال حقوق الإنسان، وجمعية الجابرية التعاونية، بالإضافة إلى مسؤوليات أخرى قام بتوليها.
