In this interview, Kuwaiti poet Bader Buresli starts with his childhood in Sharq and Almurqab. He talks about his earliest memories in Bin ‘Aqool Neigborhood, then Jibla, and later in Shamiyya. He tells us about his early interest in songs and poetry and writing as a young teenager. Losing his father when he was a child, he speaks about his close relationship with his mother, siblings, and uncles.
Moving into his teenage years and early adulthood, Buresli spends some time talking about his days at his high school back then, the Industrial College. Shortly after high school, he moves to the United States to continue his education. Buresli starts working at the Ministry of Information after coming back from the US as a director and a presenter.
Buresli spends the last part of the interview talking about his personal life and family. In the 1990s, he focuses on the Iraqi invasion, the occupation, and the liberation of Kuwait. At the end of the interview, he shares with us his thoughts on the current covid-19 pandemic.
